Muroki's quick rise to success may have taken a few by surprise, those close to him will know that this is years of hard work coming to fruition. All those long days planting trees to get new studio equipment and high-school guitar lessons are all proving their worth as 2020 saw Muroki take the next step onto the big stage. Muroki pulls influence from jazz, R&B and rock to bring together one huge swell of sound that has captured the attention from New Zealand's best. Notably it was BENEE who first championed the musician from Raglan when she played his 'For Better or Worse' track to the legendary Elton John on his Apple Music radio show. BENEE would keep championing Muroki as he joined her on her New Zealand stadium tour in October 2020 and be the first signing to her Olive Records label.
