AG Club Breaks Free in 'WE'RE ALL BRODIES*'


Ahead of their highly anticipated Camp Flog Gnaw performance, the Bay area’s AG Club has dropped the three-track EP WE’RE ALL BRODIES*, and it’s as deliciously rambunctious as you’d expect it to be.

Also known as The Avante Garde Club, the provocative duo pride themselves on bending genre. From indie rock to trap, Baby Boy and Jody Fontaine are everywhere at once at full volume, creating at the mercy of their inner children begging to break skin.

We open the project with the celebratory “eva,” kicking down the door and declaring their arrival. It’s AG Club’s confidence that cements their title, and they’ve undeniably got the lyrical ability to back it up. “Barry,” produced by Linden Jay, is a testament to that ability and a boisterous exclamation of rockstardom. More aggressively hip-hop-leaning, the track feels like retaliation to anyone who has dared to shrink them.

“CAJH DAY*” is a standout single, an effortlessly uplifting soundtrack to what will hopefully be a day drenched in positivity and countless dollars. It was released alongside a visual that features cameos from artists like King Isis and ovrkast, and you can’t help but feel like you’re part of the club.

There’s something contagious about the way that AG Club lives in their authenticity, and beyond the music, WE’RE ALL BRODIES* only furthers the significance of the role they’re playing in setting a generation free.
