Artemas' "how could u love somebody like me?" Is For Anyone Who's Ever 'Tried to Fix Him'

Swear to god, Artemas may have created the sexiest song of the season. The UK alt-grunge artist kicks off the next chapter of his career with his latest enigmatic and sultry single, "how could u love somebody like me?" his first release since his breakout mixtape yustyna, which has surpassed over 1.3 billion streams.

"how could u love somebody like me?" opens with the chorus, which only sports the breakout star's striking falsetto vocals as foreboding synths and samples brew in the background. Then, in the first verse, Artemas merges his breathy vocals with dark, moody instrumentals that bring on a foreboding sense of doom as he wrestles with his demons, asking his lover, "How could you love somebody like me? / I'm not worthy... And though you try, you could never fix me / I know you wanna believe / I couldn't hurt somebody so sweet / But, baby, won't you rot with me?"

As our anti-hero's journey continues, he admits that as broken as he'd be if she left him, it also, in a way, turns him on and makes him want her more. On the hook, he reveals the push and pull of their relationship, crooning, "Tryna be cold, but it's making you weak / I couldn't hurt somebody so sweet / But it's turning me on just watching you leave."

The enigmatic artist unveiled the song during his sold-out 35-date global headline tour, a testament to his international appeal. The tour spans Europe, Australia, and the United States, with two nights each in New York and Los Angeles. This triumph further solidifies the rising star's position as one of today's most captivating rising performers, following his successful debut headline tour earlier this year.
