Artemas Parades His Still-Bleeding Heart in "i guess u never really cared about me"

Is it safe to say that this summer is going to be an Artemas summer? The alt-pop sensation is back with a captivating and relatable love song that delves into the complexities of desire. With its brooding beats and sleek synths, the single captures the breakout star's experience of a one-sided relationship and the ensuing apathy.

After a brief spoken intro, the track opens with Artemas crooning the hypnotic hook, "Ooh, I guess you never really cared about me / I guess you never really cared about me at all / You never got excited like I did." Throughout the song, he recounts the details of his relationship, remarking that he always did things the way she wanted, even paying her rent and fucking her good, only for her to disappear.

The new single follows the success of the multi-instrumentalist's first release of 2025, the sensual double release, "southbound" and "test drive," which also marked the first anniversary of his viral release "i like the way you kiss me." With their blend of indie pop and electronic elements, these singles feature his signature sultry vocals and dopamine-rush-inducing production.

Following a show-stopping performance at Coachella, Artemas is set to ignite the stage at several major festivals this summer, including the highly anticipated Lollapalooza and The Governors Ball.
