Asha Maclean Stretches Into the Spotlight in "Yoga"

Pop-R&B artist Asha Maclean unveils her energetic, radiant release “Yoga,” which will have you yearning to move. The captivating track showcases Maclean's velvety, enchanting vocals, flowing effortlessly over a vivid blend of dance-floor rhythms.

At its core, "Yoga" explores the emotional ebb and flow of a relationship. The piece celebrates both the euphoric highs and the aching lows, much like the delicate equilibrium found in a complex yoga pose, embodying the beautiful tension of modern love. The visuals are just as colorful as the song itself, painted with an array of neon shades. Viewing Maclean in different poses throughout the video is only fitting for a single titled “Yoga,” and she does it so effortlessly.

Growing up in Battery Park City, a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, Maclean was immersed in the arts from an early age. Living in one of the world’s most creative cities, her environment at home and school nurtured her artistic side. “My mom is a visual artist,” she shares, “and my dad, who was also an artist, worked with people in the music industry.” Her parents introduced her to musical legends like Michael Jackson, Prince, and iconic R&B acts from the 1990s. “I was captivated by the sound of the greats,” she says. “They were a major influence on my decision to start singing.”

You can hear those powerful inspirations within “Yoga,” as Maclean evokes stars of yesteryear while charting her own course forward.
