chxrry22 Presents a Soultronic Take on Long Distance Relationships in "Worlds Away"

The first woman signed to The Weeknd’s XO Records, Chxrry22 is a sorceress of sultry. With a second EP on the way, the Toronto-based songstress is claiming her due time on the R&B throne.

After enamoring new eyes with her recent Vevo DSCVR feature, live performing her Childish Major-produced single “Wasteland” and “The Other Side,” many are leaning in closer to learn more about who this moody Ethiopian goddess is.

Sharing covers online and relocating to Atlanta in pursuit of her blooming music career, it was a cosign by The Weeknd that truly catapulted her onto our radar. Her atmospheric blend of pop and R&B is easy to be hypnotized by, landing her praise from outlets like Billboard and Complex.

The newest single to signify her next era, “Worlds Away,” is a soultronic take on long-distance love. Chxrry22’s voice can make even anguish sound angelic, feeling a world away from her lover while crossing time zones and state lines.

Many find solace in the honesty of her storytelling, which makes for a lasting artist. Magnetic, raw, and heart-led, as Chxrry22 continues to explore and hone her artistry, “Worlds Away" is proof it’s only up from here.
