EKKSTACY Releases Title Track For Upcoming Album “Forever”

EKKSTACY is back with their latest release of the eponymous single off their third studio album, Forever. A successor to single releases “she will be missed” and “mr.mole” in 2024. Authentic to the style that the pop-punk songwriter is known for, “forever” at just over two minutes, is a snippet into an exciting project that sees EKKSTACY come into their own with a refreshing perspective on relatable themes seen across his discography, reimagined through a commanding us to move away from the granular details, and move towards an expansive perspective.

With a spirited tempo made up of driving cymbals, the lyricism of the track hooks the listener from the start. Hauntingly recounting the collapse of a relationship, EKKSTACY lays bare the bitter sting of hindsight, “I saw it coming, but I still thought you could change// Am I enough for you? It doesn’t matter anyway.”

As the track barrels into its chorus, tinged with self-awareness, “It’s not fair, I can’t ever get away from this I swear / / Because no one knows you like I did.” The track evolves past a typical heartbreak track, at its core, “forever” is a visceral, unflinching dive headfirst into the messiness of closure.

2025 is proving to be a stacked year for EKKSTACY, with the release of Forever slated for May 16th, and embarking on the 20-date Forever tour across North America this July. There is no question about the trajectory he is on, and the exciting ways the alternative scene will be shaped.
