Grace Carter Empowers the Rejected to Move on in "Heal Me"

Grace Carter's empowering new single "Heal Me" is an anthem for all the abandoned, yet strong individuals in the world. Drawing inspiration from R&B legends Lauryn Hill and Nina Simone, "Heal Me" is an extremely personal look into Carter's childhood. Her vulnerability shines through her candid lyrics accompanied by a beautiful melody.

Growing up in Brighton, England, Carter didn't have a strong relationship with her father. This song is the letter she wished she sent to him, but never did. It shows the raw emotion young Carter felt when she was rejected and abandoned by her father, and the journey she took to continue past the pain. She grew past the pain and these events have matured the soulful singer-songwriter.

In March, Carter will be playing the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. This will be one show in her extensive tour record. She has supported huge names such as Dua Lipa, Haim, Jorja Smith, Mabel, Dermot Kennedy, and Rag N Bone Man in the past few years and is about to embark on her own headline European tour after SXSW.
