'Instant Gratification' Track by Track With fingerbleed [Q&A]

The way dopamine is administered these days, we are all victims of instant gratification, but occasionally, a musician will deliver an album that feels like a maze of curiosities: hints of hard electro, then warm beach waves of melody, multilingual samples that satiate in a much more enduring listen. Fingerbleed’s Instant Gratification is an album that truly needs multiple listens to appreciate all the intimate influences, samples and genre stitching, but instead of doing any guess work, we have the innovative composer lead us thru his latest album, track by track:
1. "Messi"
One of the first songs I ever made. When u just start and don’t know anything there’s no limit to what u can do . 100+ versions and this is the one that survived .
2. "About Us"
After a break up I had to flee and go to nature to go back to myself and make music in isolation . I had to regain my power and while making this song I realized again why I’m on earth
3. "433"
Memory loop > dreaming about the festival main stages, games and nostalgia about the songs my dad played when I was younger. Nothing was the same.
4. "Proto"
had to wipe everything clean at this point . I love pure and raw electronic sounds , there’s always a level to go deeper
5. "Jisoo's Interlude"
After destruction you try to make sense of it. Visions of seeing the light ahead, the promised prophecy. Know thyself! The original audio is a small piece from a composition I made for a fashion show from the super talented Jisoo.
6. "Lonely Hearts Radio"
this path of choosing for yourself is tough . For years it’s been only music and no rewards . I had to reassure my mom it’s ok and I know what I’m doing .
7. "Sensual"
Audio wise tried to go for an explosion of emotion . The lyrics were written by poet and writer Nancy Li after a lot of conversations about life . They are poetic and like a surreal painting but with a clear meaning underneath . It covers several themes of my life like letting go, love, destruction, innocence, time and trying to find light within darkness.
