Joe Avio Gives Masterclass on Musical Ingenuity on  "Models"

"Models" by Joe Avio is a symphony of wondrous sounds. Being the first single off his debut project, "Models" is an impressive demonstration of musical ingenuity. It also serves as a prime example of the magic that happens when vocal layering is done right. Joe Avio feels like James Blake infused with more pretty boy vocals and feels.

Listening to the track you feel like you're on a beautiful high. Each and every production element seems to sprinkle a pixie dust over your welcoming ears. The underlying acoustic guitar is also necessary and can especially be heard as the gorgeous, melodic choruses come to a close. The overwhelming effect that the bridge section has on you is almost inexplicable. It's entrancing. Rather than me try and put it into words, do yourself a favor and listen to the song so that you can experience it yourself.

Joe wrote "Models" to explore the ways in which his reality did not meet the predetermined expectations he had of Los Angeles. When he first moved to the city Joe chose to see his surroundings how he thought the city was supposed to be. In doing so, and unavoidably being exposed to immense wealth, he admits losing grip of what was actually important. "Models" documents the initial turbulence that was met with his shifting of values, then feeling inconsequential being adjacent to such greed, followed by Joe's eventual return to normalcy.

"Models" continues to receive so much love and attention from Spotify and was recently added to New Music Friday. So let it be known that with his unique and savvy musical perspective, Joe Avio is breaking through.
