Max Volante Kicks Off a New Era With "lust & found <3"

It's safe to say that singer-songwriter Max Volante has released his best song yet. "lust & round <3" ushers in a new chapter in the artist's hero journey with its lush textures and dizzying melodies, introducing listeners to the chaotically colorful world of Volante, a world that welcomes misfits and embraces the unconventional.

The grandiose, self-produced single kicks off with a slow building instrumental, setting the scene and luring listeners in. Volante holds nothing back, with each verse becoming more and more intimate between him and his lover. As they slowly become more enamored with one another, he empathetically sings, "Burn what you know to the ground."

Electric guitars provide notes of bliss as Volante sweetly sings, "Let it all go / Kiss me for now / Ready or not /It's goin' down," before a slower-paced verse sees the track out. Weaving in the trademarked melodic structures of legends like Freddie Mercury, Brian Wilson, and John Lennon while incorporating mainstay textures of today like 808s, trap drums, and pitched-up vocals, Volante perfectly blends the old and the new into a world of his own.

"lust & found <3" marks Volante's second single of 2023 and continues to build hype for his upcoming EP, which will supposedly be released before the summer. All of this comes on the heels of Volante's 2022 album, Escapism, an 18-track rollercoaster ride that finds solace in its ability to bounce from one mood to the next. This new single sees the artist coming into his own, filtering the fragmented memories and experiences that make us individuals. As a result, he achieves vulnerability that pulls at the heartstrings and makes your eyes sweat.
