Number_i Shoots For the Top of the Charts With "INZM"

Get ready to be obsessed! Japanese boy group Number_i, comprised of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi, delivers another powerful track with their latest release, "INZM." With its hard-hitting vocals and collection of heavy guitar riffs and high-octane beats, the single is a charged-up thrill ride from start to finish.

"INZM," short for Inazuma, which means lightning, comes out the gate swinging with face-punching guitar riffs, retro-inspired beats, and record scratches. This racing, gut-punching energy is incredibly potent on the track's chorus, which in translation declares, "INZM / Captivated in an instant / INZM / Three shocking blows / INZM / Running INZM." As the song continues, pulsing synths and hip-hop rhythms serve as the backdrop for the group's motivated lyricism, which details their relentless drive and unshakable ambition to reach new heights through their tight-knit collaboration as a trio.

The accompanying music video opens with the trio hiding under umbrellas as they endure the rain. Soon, chaos ensues as they run away from a gang with a mysterious package in their possession. To survive, they must defeat their enemies in a series of video game-style tasks, each leading to an epic battle royale, or so viewers think.

"INZM," which just hit #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, will be featured on the supergroup's debut full album No. I, out September 23, alongside previously released singles, "GOAT" and "BON." The former track, "GOAT," was the US's first taste of the limitless talent that the trio possesses and currently sits with over 50 million streams on Spotify and is undoubtedly becoming an anthem within the fandom due to its high energy and themes of self-confidence, ambition, and determination. The rap-centric tune sees the members push themselves to create a hip-hop-influenced style that allows each of their personalities and artistry to shine.
