remy's "he's not your boyfriend, he's your boy friend" is Pure Optimism

Apart from being an incredible writer for so many artists, remy has continuously shown us that he can flourish most as an artist on his own. His unique take on writing and production has set him apart from a lot of other artists right now.

We're extremely pleased to premiere his brand-new music video for his latest single "he’s not your boyfriend, he’s your boy friend." His comedic take on a serious topic brings a breath of fresh air to us. The video has a nostalgic feel, cohesive with his production and writing style. Bringing us back to artists like Blink-182 and Sum 41 who created some of the most entertaining music videos in the early 2000s. remy is single handedly bringing back that vibe. remy explains that he wanted to take an optimistic approach to the topic of falling head over heels with someone who's in love with another person.

"'he’s not your boyfriend, he’s your boyfriend' is about how much it sucks when someone you used to be in love with finds someone else, and how much worse it is when the new significant other seems to have their life together and you don’t. I also wanted to put in some wishful thinking hoping that their friends are saying you were the better choice - that maybe people can miss a good thing even when it's right in front of them, that good thing being you. For the video I wanted to expand on the line "you met at summer camp"; because I've been a counselor for a few summers and loved it so thought it would be funny to put a spin on that."

remy never ceases to amaze us with his undeniable creativity and passion he puts into everything he does. The love and care we see proves his ability to be a timeless act we'll continue to see evolve over time. With so much stress going on in the world right now, take the optimistic approach to life like remy and enjoy his brand-new music video for "he’s not your boyfriend, he’s your boy friend."
