Talkless Breathes Life Into the Infectious "Talking to Myself"

When Homer Dudley invented the vocoder in 1928, he had no idea where this new technology would lead. It was initially intended for speech coding during the war, yet, shortly after its inception, someone discovered another use—a musical instrument. This device led to the birth of auto-tune and the beginning of many forms of vocal modulation in music.

Utilizing vocal modulation reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Brazilian-American artist Talkless breaks out with his new single "Talking to Myself." Harnessing these unique vocals, the track catches your attention immediately. And just as your interest piques, in jumps the bass. The bass line is catchy and creative, driving the song with its funky beat. The combination of these elements gives "Talking to Myself" a unique vibe that will have your head bobbing in no time.

"Talking to Myself" is a not-so-subtle introspection of life and identity post-relationship. Talkless isn't afraid to dive head-first into exploring some of these complex emotions. Like the feelings of self-doubt and loneliness that are synonymous with breakups. Sometimes there is the need to adapt in relationships, but can that go too far? Is there a danger of changing too much and becoming someone else? Talkless asks those tough questions of himself when pondering "Is it really you?"

Talkless’ catchy vibes and profound thoughts make for great music. Throw in a dope retro lyric video, and you have all the ingredients for a track you don’t want to miss out on.
