Welcome to Paracosm: Absolutely’s Universe of Limitless Childlike Wonder

Absolutely, a member of Ones To Watch’s class of 2026, has released her second album, Paracosm, a meticulously crafted universe blending pop, electronica, jazz, and R&B. With the release, Absolutely uses layered vocals and magical production to craft an album entirely cinematic and full of feeling, and while it’s a sound that just feels right for the South London songwriter, we have a feeling Absolutely doesn’t like to tie herself down.

Paracosm follows Absolutely’s 2023 debut CEREBRUM. Speaking on the creation of the album, Absolutely explains, “I had to relearn how to create the way I did as a child—without rules, without fear. Once I tapped back into that freedom, the world of Paracosm opened up completely. I constructed all of these interesting, fun, and fantastical worlds that would make my younger self feel very happy, safe, and seen.”

A paracosm is a fully realized, detailed imaginary world, often created during childhood, that a person develops over a long period, sometimes into adulthood. That spirit is undoubtedly strung throughout Paracosm, giving listeners permission to rediscover their own imagination, freedom, and inner child along the way. Every song opens a new door, constantly redefining the world the previous track just finished building. It’s a phenomenon truly representative of Absolutely’s constantly evolving artistic vision that not only guides her sound, but also her stunning creative direction.

Of course, there’s no Absolutely without her heaven-sent voice. Listeners may already know single, “I Just Don’t Know You Yet,” the vocal-masterclass that quickly turned into her biggest hit yet, but it’s not the only track that has us swooning. “Elevator” is notably a standout, but it’s hard to choose a favorite when every song brings something new to the table.

Currently, Absolutely is touring internationally as direct support on her sister RAYE’s This Tour May Contain New Music. Absolutely will also join Reneé Rapp on select European arena dates next month, followed by a summer festival run including Governors Ball and BottleRock.
