Although Ruby Carr and Natalia Panzarella began Bahari as carefree teenagers penning lighthearted songs about happiness and the joys of life, the now 20-year-olds have begun to experience heartbreak and loss, which translates into their emotive songwriting. Having toured with established names like Selena Gomez and Birdy, Bahari is a growing force with a strong mission to console those who are hurting and seeking comfort with their electro-pop melodies. Bahari plans to release an EP sometime this year, but they are previewing their new musical direction for us with a heartbreaking new single, ":(."

Chances are we will all experience a one-sided love at one point or another in our lives, but it is up to us to decide if we deserve more than that. Bahari's ":(" marks the turning point in a relationship where we realize love is not all it takes for an intense relationship to succeed. Drenched with lively electronics and captivating vocals, ":(" is a stellar showcasing of Bahari's ability to channel their most vulnerable states while still crafting an upbeat track that leaves you wanting more.

On ":(," Bahari exclusively shared with us,

"Sometimes in a relationship, you give everything you have to a person, and they don't reciprocate that. It's part of growing up; it's learning that love isn't enough sometimes if you aren't being treated right. This song came to us from that moment of realizing that love isn't everything in a relationship. There's so much more to it and if that trust is broken, there really is no going back."

Ones To Watch has your first listen of  ":(" below:
