Morgan Saint Just Blessed Our Ears with the Dreamy "god bless our souls"

In case you didn't make it to Kanye's Sunday Service, pop angel Morgan Saint has blessed the world with a means to spiritual enlightenment in the form of her latest single, "god bless our souls." There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the genius that is Morgan Saint, the only explanation being that she's an Alien, explaining the title of her ethereal sophomore EP.

In her spare time, when she isn't writing heartbreaking songs that leave us beyond emotionally distraught, the New York native can be found gracing the pages of Vogue with her uniquely editorial street style. Graduating from Parsons New School for Design, Saint developed her personal image, finding inspiration in the unapologetically individual artists in the world. Beyond her keen fashion sense, the other-worldly talent that is Saint portrays her artistic vision through impassioned lyrics of love and heartbreak paired with heavenly synth-driven melodies.

In the extremely intimate "god bless our souls," Saint unveils insecurities within her relationship. What starts off as a beautifully simple ballad quickly turns into Saint's signature dreamy synth pop. Even after a two-year relationship, Saint still wonders if her lover still thinks about her ex, and if she's enough for her love. She needs reassurance that they're still going strong because she "[doesn't] want to say goodbye 'til [they] touch the sky." Perfectly on brand, Saint concludes "god bless our souls" with a whisper of the lyrics, "We're on fire," a reference to "On Fire" from Alien.

Saint is currently on tour with Swedish indie pop queen LÉON  across North America on the You and I Tour presented by, yours truly, Ones To Watch. If you think Saint's songs are magic from the studio, experiencing her live is a whole other transformative experience.
