Phum Viphurit's music video for his single "Lover Boy" has been streamed on YouTube over 37-million times, and despite watching it potentially hundreds of times myself, it is still one of the few videos on YouTube I am happy to be recommended time and time again. The Thailand-born, New Zealand - raised artist has a clear talent for creating sun-soaked jams that never get old, and it is a gift he illustrates in spades on his first track of 2019.

"Hello, Anxiety," arrives as the long-awaited follow-up to Viphurit's 2018 viral hit single "Lover Boy," which even received an 88rising remix, featuring the Chinese hip-hop group Higher Brothers. In spite of its name, "Hello, Anxiety" is nothing but a good time. From its delectable guitar licks, impeccable bass lines, to Viphurit's lighter-than-air vocals, the sonic backdrop of this tale of overcoming anxiety and self-doubt is brimming with a serene sense warmth.

The journey Viphurit takes us on in "Hello, Anxiety" is one where overflowing feelings of anxiety are addressed and accepted. This emotional voyage unfolds from the initial creeping feelings of anxiety, as Viphurit sings, "Hello, anxiety/ You've come to keep me company" to eventually finding peace, as he coos the lines, "It's time we part/ I need to sleep." Viphurit spoke on what inspired "Hello, Anxiety," sharing,

"'Hello, Anxiety’ was written at a time of self-doubt, stress and the eventual peace that I found. It’s been a long while since I shared a tune with you. I sincerely hope you find a bit of yourself in this."

In addition to gracing us with a new groove-inducing track, Viphurit is keeping the good times rolling with a new music video that we simply cannot stop watching on repeat. Does Viphurit have another viral hit on his hands?
