Plested's "The Least That I Could Do" Video Will Have You Calling Home

For those of us with the privilege of having a relationship with our mothers, we shouldn’t need to wait for Mother’s Day to roll around to share our love and appreciation. Rising UK singer-songwriter Plested's latest song,  "The Least That I Could Do,“ and its accompanying video is a brilliant illustration of that sentiment.

The emotionally-gripping song was made in an awe-inspiring 24 hour time period. The sentimental music video portraying a struggling mother and son most certainly illustrates the 24-year-old’s deeply-rooted gratitude and love for his mother. Plested spoke on the initial inspiration behind  "The Least That I Could Do," sharing,

"This is easily my favourite song I've ever written. I was thinking about my Mum and how much we all sacrifice for the people that we love. I'd written down the phrase 'the least that I could do is die for you' in my book, so I locked myself away in the studio with a friend and we wrote it all in one day! I love that I can sing my absolute heart out in the chorus, yet still be so honest and personal in the verses."

This single comes as a follow-up to his previously-released single, "Either You Love Me Or You Don't.” On top of making heart-rending songs for himself, Plested is credited for writing hits for the likes of Lewis Capaldi, ZAYN, The Vamps, Kygo, Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy, Calum Scott, and Little Mix. Needless to say, anything and everything that Plested has a hand in will always be doused in gold.
