ROLE MODEL Opts for a Low-key Relationship in Earnest "minimal"

ROLE MODEL continues to be our favorite sad boy. Every song he releases emotes the raw emotions he experiences in daily life, and his latest single "minimal" stays perfectly on brand. He has dealt with the struggles young people face every day, and he brings this candid energy into his deeply personal songs. In 2017, he discovered his passion for music after experiencing a life-threatening ski accident which left him broken and depressed. He hopes to provide comfort to those who have found themselves lost in the same black hole he was in after his accident.

On what drives him to create music, he shared:

“I think living by myself for two years in college and dealing with depression by myself was the best thing ever to happen to me. Solving my own issues in my head helped with self awareness and self love. I can lean on myself – definitely wouldn’t say I’m happy yet, but I’m getting better at trying lately.”

The loose relationship ROLE MODEL speaks of in "minimal" is barely that. It's mostly physical, and they keep it all "minimal," just as they like it. The melancholic melody paired with his insanely relatable lyrics creates this dazzling tune. His lyrical honesty almost makes it feel intrusive to listen to his soft crooning, speaking of his inner struggles that led him to preferring a casual relationship.
