4batz Slows Things Down in the Intoxicating “act iii: on god? (she like)”

R&B music is currently experiencing an equally welcome and unpredicted renaissance, and nobody is leading the charge quite like Austin’s very own 4batz.

If you’ve spent any amount of time online over the past six months, then you know just how inescapable 4batz’s music has been. Co-signed by Kanye West and with a viral From The Block performance under his wings, 4batz’s ascent into the mainstream has been anything but inevitable to those with their ears to the ground. His debut track "act i: stickerz '99'," as well as its follow-up "act ii: date @ 8," served as bite-sized R&B tunes crafted for a culture dominated by short-form video content.

Synthesizing catchy melodies with high-pitched vocals and endlessly loopable writing, 4batz has quickly established himself as the PinkPantheress of R&B while taking over TikTok in his wake. Now, fans are treated to the long-awaited “act iii: on god? (she like)”, which, unlike the tracks that preceded it, is much slower in tempo and demonstrates another side of the Texas artist. It’s a side that blends his innate sense for viral hits with a clear understanding of what makes R&B so intoxicating. While the pace of the tracks might be slowing down, “act iii: on god? (she like)” showcases there’s no slowing down the rise of 4batz’s empire.
