After Standout Sets at Outside Lands and Lollapalooza, Balu Brigada Release Killer New Single “Bedhead”

Balu Brigada are fresh off killer sets at Outside Lands and Lollapalooza, and they show no signs of slowing down. The band will open for Sombr this fall, with festival dates at Corona Capital, Austin City Limits, and All Things Go still to come. Things have been full speed ahead for Balu Brigada since the release of their breakout record, Portal, in 2025. Now, the New Zealand band is back with the great new single “Bedhead,” a Strokes-y, jammy track that the band says “bittersweetly details the sacrifices we make to relationships, sleep, and home life.”

Accompanying the single is a new music video directed by André Figueirêdo and Jader Chahine, which finds the band inside an abandoned concrete building, making their way up winding spiral staircases that mirror the song’s slinking groove. “Bedhead” is another great addition to Balu Brigada’s already growing selection of sharp alt-rock, and if you have the chance to see them live - don’t miss it.
