Andy Tongren Sparks Dopamine Receptors in Effortless Debut Single "So Good"

Andy Tongren (lead singer of Young Rising Sons) is a seasoned musician who's lending his versed perspective as a songwriter to his dopamine-drenched debut. Alongside his band, he's opened for behemoths like The 1975, Weezer, and Halsey. This rich experience has given Tongren the backbone to emerge as his own artist, demonstrating impressive levels of refinement and finesse.

His new single "So Good" is effortless, easy, and seasoned with the salt of the Earth. Tongren, now more than ever, knows exactly who he is as an artist and how he wants to make people feel. Like opening the blinds on your mental fog, the track fills the ear with an instant spark of euphoria. Written from the depths of Bushwick in a basement, Tongren wrote "So Good" when he was craving light in his life. This track was essential for him in reconnecting with the joy of songwriting and leaning into the human elements of creativity rather than striving for perfection.

"So Good" is championed by a chunky acoustic riff, rustling percussion, and warm vocals that reverberate through your system. The hook is seamless, spoken from the heart, and oozes that folk-pop familiarity that makes you feel like you're right there with him. With a sentimental music video to match that captures Tongren playing baseball and scoring the winning shot in a game of skee-ball, "So Good" is a soundtrack for the moments we preserve in our fondest memories.

Tongren is looking to reconnect with his fans during this exhilarating new chapter of his career as a solo artist. For him, that starts with his Brooklyn-based roots. His next show is on June 24 at Berlin in New York City. Tongren has made it clear from the jump that he's aiming to be a pivotal voice in folk-pop and with "So Good", he takes his first shot for the bullseye.
