bLAck pARty Delivers a Tantalizing Summer Slowburn With "On My Way"

There’s no declaration of love more profound than willingly rushing through LA traffic, proving bLAck pARty to be a true romantic in his latest single “On My Way.”

Amidst the global heat waves, we've all been overdue for a love song to cool us down, and “On My Way” is the summer’s breeze we’ve been aching for. It’s any wonder how bLAck pARty resists making music other than that of the romantic, with the tenderness of his voice seemingly crafted for it.

“Doing 85 on the 105,” this track tells the story of being in a rush to come back home to the person you love. Produced by Will Yanez, “On My Way” is an easy listen, with bLAck pARty’s signature tropical funk only sweetening the serenade.

Aside from “getting high like Friday,” one of the reasons bLAck pARty could be so far from home may have to do with his rising demand. From touring festivals to shooting visuals, he’s established himself by garnering respect from his peers and fans alike. This respect is bred from him being a truly unique artist with the inability to isolate a single audience. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he can only genre bend. His musicality lives within his bones, and his potential wouldn’t be realized if he stifled any layer of it. To witness his journey from Mango to Endless Summer to here makes us only all the more excited for what’s to come.

"On My Way" is set to appear on bLAckpARty's anticipated forthcoming album Hummingbird, releasing July 14 via RCA Records.
