DAISY WORLD Captures All the Joy and Heartache of a Bittersweet Goodbye in "so it goes"

LA’s DAISY WORLD continues to soft launch her long-awaited debut solo album with the ethereal single “so it goes."

Refining her alternative R&B and indie-pop sound, there aren’t many artists that even near what DAISY WORLD offers the industry. The sweet grit of her vocals is unparalleled, earning her approval from collaborators Tyler, The Creator and Steve Lacy and a performance slot at this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival.

As she breaks away onto her solo journey, “so it goes” proves she’s leaning more into her jazz roots than not. A reminiscent single that celebrates ending rather than penalizing it, the song invites us to confront how we define the success of a relationship. Is the ending a flag of failure or an invitation to admire the experience of it all? DAISY WORLD tears away bits of her all-at-once dance with love to tell a tale of retribution.

The honesty felt in every syllable of this single is not lost on us, coming from the deepest part of DAISY WORLD’s gut. “This one is about loving hard, falling fast, and burning out brightly— the pain, the tears, the BLISS, the fire, the memories, and the bittersweet goodbye… This one is very important to me,” she reflects on the single’s catharsis. “A celebratory obituary of a chaotically intense and extremely beautiful and impactful relationship that I had. Being able to easily walk away smiling and grateful for what it was, instead of fighting for what it could have been."

A parting gift, DAISY WORLD closes, “I hope you listen and feel it inside you, and smile while shedding a single tear for the ones you’ve loved and lost.” As “so it goes” continues to prove, it’s Daisy's world and we’re just living in it.
