It's official, Dev Soter season is upon us. Now I know what you're thinking, "It's only been a few months since Soter dropped The Dida Tapes EP, did Soter season ever really end?" It's a fair point, but today sees the Massachusetts-based artist returning to us anew with his latest track and visual, "tulsa." Gracing listeners with his seasoned affinity for songwriting and unique indie-pop-meets-alt-rock style, "tulsa" shows that Soter is a force to be reckoned with.

I'll be honest, I've never been to Tulsa. I've never even stepped foot in Oklahoma, so I couldn’t tell you with any certainty that this is where the visual was filmed, but it's certainly what I envision when I think of the Great Plains. Though this visual may feature Soter casually running around a desert with his friends (including fellow Massachusetts-born artist The China Blue), it won't be long until he's embedded within the indie-pop stratosphere.

Slick basslines and catchy guitar riffs form the perfect foundation for Soter's perfectly polished vocals to flourish. From the laid-back indie-pop percussion to the subtle vocal layers that decorate the track's chorus, it sounds like Soter hasn't taken a day off since the year began.

Whether or not this is your first time listening to a Soter track, "tulsa" is the perfect introduction to one of indie-pop's most promising songwriting and vocal talents. Every release from the burgeoning young artist is flooded with skillful artistry, charm, and above all, potential. Consider this to be a rare opportunity to claim your "I was here early" ticket before anybody else.
