Rewind: Our 5 Favorite Music Videos of Last Week

While it's far too easy to lose ourselves in the deluge of new music releases that grace us every week, one thing that cannot and should not be overlooked is the art of the music video. With the heyday era of MTV long behind us, Rewind sees us taking a look back at a handful of our favorite music videos of the past week.

Ghost Woman - "Behind Your Eyes"

Did you watch Easy Rider because your grandparents made you, and dug its trippy overexposed cinematic stylings? Does your TikTok algorithm give  Rosemary's Baby?  Then this beautifully shot video by Ghost Woman will have you reliving the best of your old soul era, without its bent ambitions and wealth capture agenda.

Jelly Crystal ft. Alice Boman - "Happy Ending"

Need a proper short film, a longing, lonely plunge through a frigid Stockholm-adjacent night? With "trumpet solos and ugly moves to keep you warm?" Then Jelly Crystal's latest video is your accompaniment of choice.

DUCKWRTH ft. Shaun Ross - "POWER POWER"

Need a multi-medium, multi-dimensional approach to your confidence-boosting soundtrack layered with perfectly cool, high contrast aesthetics? Look no further than DUCKWRTH and his theatrical opus "POWER POWER."

$NOT - "5AM"

Always willing and capable of street surrealism, the prodigious $NOT takes the helicopter pursuit light into a proper party spotlight, creating a perfect come down on top of the house party track that slowly throbs into an urge to drift effortlessly into sunrise.

ROLE MODEL - "neverletyougo"

Possibly one of the most romantic gestures a person of public notoriety can make, ROLE MODEL announces his love and affection publicly but also privately.  "neverletyougo" is a brilliant example of a simple concept overriding busy production and effects. And while the center of attention and framing is never fully revealed, consider this nod to Emma our favorite soft reveal of 2022.
