If you are looking for a new artist to listen to through this strange time, look no further. Like a rose bud at the onset of spring, Holly Humberstone's delicate yet empowering sensibilities emanate through her music. And she is in full bloom.

The talented 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Grantham, UK leans on the darker side of pop, influenced heavily by Phoebe Bridgers and Lorde. Like her sublimely honest and warm sound, Humberstone's music has earned her a warm welcome from both her quickly blossoming fanbase as well as other talents like Damien Rice and Niall Horan, the latter of which posted about her on his instagram story.

Humberstone's debut single "Deep End," is a soft yet gritty acoustic song. As she told Euphoria Magazine, it is "probably the most personal song [she'd] ever written," reflecting the mental health struggles faced by both Humberstone and her sisters, who are also featured in the song's captivating music video. Humberstone is one of the first artists to have a Fundraising Pick on Spotify, through which she is promoting Mind, a UK and Wales charity dedicated to supporting those who struggle with mental health.

A gifted songstress, Humberstone also graced us with her follow-up single, "Falling Asleep At The Wheel," which is driven by a piano, pulsating synth and candid lyrics, showing us another side of her versatile sound.

In a recent instagram post, Humberstone shares how she wrote the song with friend and collaborator Rob Milton in her childhood home, which she describes as "in the middle of nowhere...very characterful [and] falling down," revealing that "you can kind of hear some of the weird, wonky sounds of the house within the track."

The accompanying music videos for both "Deep End" and "Falling Asleep At The Wheel" were filmed near her home to keep them in the same world. Both singles undoubtedly carry an air of honesty, an element Humberstone evidently applies at every stage of creation.

Humberstone has played festivals throughout the UK and even supported Lewis Capaldi on the European leg of his tour. Most recently, she sold out her first-ever headline show at the iconic Omeara in London. In the anticipation of her first EP, we cannot wait to watch Humberstone flourish.
