Singer-songwriter and producer JVKE reminds us to cherish our loved ones in his latest, tear-inducing single, "this is what losing someone feels like." The track is raw and vulnerable in both JVKE's detailed lyrics and heart-wrenching vocal delivery, vividly capturing the experience of loss. The track lets listeners know they are not alone and serves as a poignant reminder to treasure memories and time spent with loved ones.

"this is what losing someone feels like" opens with endearing piano riffs and JVKE's empathic vocals instantly setting the scene. He spills his regrets to the listener, singing, "Should've went for coffee on that Saturday you saw me / Should've picked my phone up every time you tried to call me," never thinking that loss would be right around the corner. On the intensifying pre-chorus and climatic choruses, he urges us to reach out to the special people in our lives, "Cause when you love someone, you tell 'em that you, tell 'em that you do."

On the track, JVKE shares, "Loss is universal. I intentionally didn't specify the relationship that I wrote this song about. It's meant to be open-ended and interpreted by the listener. We've all lost someone somehow, and it's time we start processing that loss together."

Alongside the release, JVKE has partnered up with 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a national network of local crisis centers that provide free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The emotional release follows the artist's massive hit single "golden hour." The popular track has since reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, top 10 on Top 40 radio, and has now amassed over 635 million streams.
