In this day and age, particularly amid our unprecedented COVID era, we've come to realize that plans can be a fickle thing. As our day to day life shifts constantly, usually without our consent or control, we begin to realize the importance of those things we do have some say in. For Swedish alternative R&B artist Lars Martin, this was his love for his wife, Grace. Debuting his artist project, producer and songwriter, Lars Martin shares their inspiring love story on his single "Plans."    

Having met Grace just before the beginning of the pandemic, Martin recalls falling deeply in love with her at the onset of their relationship. Yet as lockdown hit a mere three months after they started dating, priorities and what felt important in life began to shift. In the spirit of unplanned plans, Martin decided to get on one knee and pop that fateful question and luckily, Grace was in full agreement on the life she wanted to pursue together with him. In his own words,

“Just a few months before quarantine my wife and I met & started dating. I had never felt such an incredible bond with another person before and instantly fell head over heels in love with her. When LA went on lockdown, our perspectives shifted and we began to realize that during such unprecedented times, each other and the plans we were sure of became more important than ever before. On a whim, I decided to propose, she said 'yes' and we got married the following day. I wrote this song about her and the life we plan to manifest together shortly after. In short, ‘Plans’ is a song about unrelenting love, the kind that can’t be replicated or fabricated and building a life beyond our current reality with the one who brings forth a sense of magic in an unpredictable world.”

100% produced, written, and performed by Lars Martin himself, “Plans" shows Martin flexing his musical prowess in each element of the song. Interlacing highly personal lyrics with smooth and satisfying electronic-infused R&B production, we are able to see Lars Martin as the groundbreaking creative he is.

Though new to the artist space, Martin is no rookie in the music scene. An expert behind the board, he's produced and written for the likes of Ali Gatie, French Montana, Kiiara, NCT 127, Chloe Lilac, COTIS, Sylo Nozra, etc. under the monicker Martin Wave, while his compositional works have been featured in theatrical trailers for feature films such as Judas and the Black Messiah, Ad Astra, Gemini Man, etc. In addition to his musical work behind the scenes, his voice has already been streamed over 100 million times on Brazilian DJ Alok's recent singles  "Hear Me Tonight" and "Alive (It Feels Like)".
