Rising Star Kara Marni Releases  "Young Heart" featuring Russ

Kara Marni's star has been rising for some time now. The UK-based R&B singer recently performed at the virtual edition of this year's Wireless Festival and now she's back with a new single and video.  "Young Heart" serves as a duet with prominent rapper Russ. Speaking on the various mistakes people make in relationships, the artists tell the story from their points of view.

The two connected on Instagram after Russ heard the acoustic version of Marni's song  "Lose My Love." So when she was working on  "Young Heart", she thought he would be perfect for the song and asked if he would want to contribute a verse. Speaking on the inspiration for the song, Marni shares,  "I'm asking myself why I don't learn the lessons from the shitty situations that life puts you in. I need to listen to the signs and stop ignoring the red flags."

The animated video for  "Young Heart" was created by Ivan Dixon who has also worked with Childish Gambino, Elton John, Surfaces, and more. Watch it below and check back for more from Kara Marni in the near future.
