Sigrid's "Sight Of You" Is a Soaring Ode to Her Fans

Fresh from her performance of "Don't Feel Like Crying" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Sigrid just dropped another electro-pop anthem. "Sight Of You"  follows "Sucker Punch" and  "Don't Feel Like Crying" as the third single from her highly-anticipated debut album Sucker Punch, due out March 8. From listening to the three already released singles, one thing is clear,  Sucker Punch will be chock-full of dynamic and cleverly-written tracks.

"Sight Of You" bleeds with rich instrumentals and Sigrid's signature graceful vocals. The single opens with a catchy keyboard arrangement and a comprehensive string accompaniment. From start to finish, Sigrid packs the almost four-minute single with high-energy and empowering melodies.

Sigrid opened up about the inspiration behind "Sight Of You" on her Instagram. The Norwegian-native shared that although she has rough days, the sight of her fans is what motivates her and reminds her how fortunate she is. But even without Sigrid's candid explanation on her social media page, the lyrics are straightforward, acting almost as an intimate conversation between the singer and her fans. Sigrid posted a video of her performing in front of a massive crowd with the caption,

"I wrote a song on a boat in London last year... It's called 'Sight Of You,'  and this is what inspired me to write it together with my friend Askjell. The Electric Picnic Festival last summer in Ireland is probably one of my favorite gigs ever xx."
