Simon On The Moon Makes Up For All Subpar Pop Music with Intelligent "Lied 2 U" [PREMIERE]

Simon On The Moon is a cloak-and-dagger one man act. The Swedish artist produces his own music, specializing in a trippy guitar-tinged hybrid of R&B and pop, thick with harmonies and falsetto hooks. Though he only has two songs currently up for streaming, his first release "Hooked" rocketed to the top of both US Viral and Global Spotify charts. His second release, "Milk" heavily features the line "I'm out buying milk," which inexplicably leaves his mouth sounding like pure poetry. Simon On The Moon has an interstellar capacity to turn every song he touches into gold, leaving his listeners eager for more. Lucky for us, he's back with his third incredible single, "Lied 2 U," which both complements his other releases and teases his forthcoming EP, Milk.

Though Simon On The Moon splits his time writing between Stockholm, Los Angeles and his Swedish hometown Kungsbacka, his music all sounds as if it comes from the same intimate bedroom studio. "Lied 2 U" is intelligently written and refreshing, driven by a rhythm section of intricate claps and topped by whispery falsetto. The groove goes deep from the conception, making it the kind of song you would stop conversation to give your full attention.

He commented on the slight deviation in sound from his past releases,

"To me this is a straight up pop song about bumping into a past love. It ´s kind of a deviation from what I'm dropping later. I've always been in to a lot of weird stuff and 2-step/UK Garage, but I will forever have a special place in my heart for good, simple pop songs. And there's so much rubbish pop nowadays, so hopefully this one evens it out a bit."

We can confirm that he is making up for any subpar pop currently making its way to the top of the charts. His forthcoming EP Milk is one to mark in your March calendars, though Simon On The Moon has alluded to more surprises for his fans in 2019.
