Sundressed Team Up With Glacier Veins To Deal With The Pitfalls Of Long Distance On "20 Below" | THE NOISE

Arizona indie punk band Sundressed continues to bless our summer with yet another gut-punching single, "20 Below." Teaming up with Glacier Veins's Malia Endres, the emotional and energetic single wrestles with the struggles of long-distance relationships and the complicated emotions that can arise during the separation.

The single opens with frontman Trevor Hedges's warm vocals setting the stage as a lone electric guitar backs him up. He describes the tricky situation he's in with his loved one, singing, "Screaming over the phone /but I don't feel anything /I'm ready to go/ this conversation is too much for me/ I wanna go home, but the definition of it is a place where I feel safe." In the verses, he admits that his lover doesn't understand their feelings and experiences, citing that while he's freezing cold, they're soaking in the sun, blissfully unaware.

Enders' presence on the track is a delightful addition, giving the single more dimension with her highly engaging vocals and delivery. In her verse, she describes how she feels like her partner doesn't want to talk anymore and only wants to know "..how much we're getting paid" and that their relationship has been reduced to nothing more than contributing to rent.

"This song is about being in a long-distance relationship and that feeling of never being able to be on the same page when you're away from your person," shared Hedges. "We were so happy to get Malia Endres featured on this one, and it's definitely one of the most unique tracks on the new record!"

"20 Below" also follows the recent announcement of the band's forthcoming, self-titled album, Sundressed, set to be released on August 11th. Additionally, the band has shared their single, "There With Me," a glowing love song that Hedges wrote for his wife, the first the band has ever released. It's a tender tribute to finding your person and keeping them with you always. Because "even when it feels like everything is going terribly/ I just want you there with me."
