The Aces Return With "Daydream," a Euphoric Love Note

It has been nearly two years since we last heard from The Aces, and it would be a gross understatement to say we have missed them. The Utah-bred quartet has an innate gift for crafting indelible indie pop that is both wholly relatable yet deeply personal. And as made evident by their latest single, it is a gift that only gets better with age.

Released via Red Bull Records, "Daydream" marks the first taste of new music since the release of the quartet's critically acclaimed debut album, When My Heart Felt Volcanic. To absolutely no one's surprise, it is an absolute bop. Opening in trademark The Aces fashion, we are greeted by a shimmering guitar serenade, infectious bassline, and an enduring promise of hope.

"Daydream" revolves around all of the little things we do to keep ourselves sane when separated from those we love. From stealing little moments of time to holding on dearly to precious, shared memories, The Aces deliver a return that manages to simultaneously be euphoric, nostalgic, and reflective. The Utah-bred quartet spoke further on the new single, sharing,

"We want our fans to feel submerged in this music and walk away feeling closer to us than ever. 'Daydream' is about what it's like to be away from a loved one. When we're on tour, we're leaving a love note and memento saying, 'I'm thinking of you, so daydream about me.'"
