Tobey Lynn Serves Up The Perfect Situationship Anthem With New Single ‘bottom line’

Looking for the perfect pop song to sing at the top of your lungs this summer? Tobey Lynn’s got you covered with new single “bottom line.”

“bottom line” is a bright and breezy song dedicated to the fun that can be found in a relationship that’s a little undefined. Lynn, a 24 year-old singer-songwriter, infuses the track with a fun and confessional vibe that makes the listener feel like they’re gossiping with a friend.

“Our friends know the deal // ‘will they won’t they,’ roll their eyes, take the wheel,” Lynn sings of her on-again-off-again relationship with someone who seems to be on the fence about the whole thing.

“Lost all this time // confessing stupid shit when you could be kissing my tongue” she challenges her partner, before making it clear — “You and me is a bottom line.”

The sparkling production turns “bottom line”’s subject matter on its head; while others might dwell on the downsides of being in a loosely-defined relationship, Lynn turns it into a chance to tease her partner for being indecisive — especially when they both know it will end with the two of them together.

Lynn called the single “flirty” and “playful,” explaining that with “bottom line,” she wanted to capture a “carefree, singing-into-your-hairbrush-in-your-bedroom energy.”

“It marks the beginning of a new chapter leading into my sophomore EP, expected later in the summer,” she added, sharing that the project is titled Fairytales for the Almost Famous — “a manifestation for all that's to come on my popstar journey!”

With “bottom line,” Lynn delivers a pitch-perfect situationship anthem that you’ll want to sing all summer long.
