Yung Gravy, bbno$, and Cuco's "Off the Goop" Is the Collab We Never Knew We Needed

If there's a collaboration that we never thought would happen, it would probably be this one. Through witty bars and an infectious chorus, "Off the Goop" is the unexpected energy we needed going into this week, and we have Yung Gravy, bbno$, and Cuco to thank for that.

Known for their unique approaches to the modern rap soundscape, Yung Gravy and bbnos$, though not a duo, have worked together since their start, in turn, amassing a serious fan base for both their collective and individual projects. From Yung Gravy's "oldies" approach to modern trap music, to bbno$' self-proclaimed "oxymoronical" style of rap, the two have been able to maximize their impact in the hip-hop landscape with their hilarious wordplay and undeniably entertaining personalities.

Through traditional, synth elements fused with a guitar-influenced production, "Off the Goop" reinforces how artists like Yung Gravy and bbno$ are shifting the tides in the modern trap landscape. In addition to their eccentric lyricism and distinctive approach to music, their eagerness to put Cuco on the track only reinforces their unconventional approach to contemporary hip-hop.

Despite noting his music as "psychedelia-soaked love ballads" and influenced by smooth, Latin jazz, Cuco proves that he is an active participant in genre ambiguity, and can, in fact, deliver that heat when need be. His undoubtedly infectious chorus brings the track full-circle and will probably have you singing along during your weekly commute.
