Straight out of Stratford, Ontario, is a fresh folk talent who goes by the memorable name of Cat Clyde. With a deep appreciation of old-time tunes, Clyde channels Etta James and Janis Joplin into her innovative slide-guitar-style soundscape that still comes across as utterly timeless. Following her recent enthralling single, "All the Black," Clyde is ready to fly to the moon with her new effort, "Bird Bone."

There's no denying that Cat Clyde is a catchy name, but this extraordinary singer-songwriter's ability to pen dazzling songs is even more noteworthy. "Bird Bone" features infectious guitar plucks paired with a haunting bass that allows Clyde's versatile vocals to shine right through. The accompanying music video is a vibrant animation depicting desert animals under the scorching sun as a fierce hawk invades the turf of the murder of crows. With an entertained audience consisting of kingsnakes, ducks, and bald eagles, the dominant hawk continues to soar above.

On "Bird Bone," Cat Clyde shared,

"Hawks were coming up a lot in my life and I felt like I was seeing them everywhere. I wanted this story to be sort of a 'day in the life' of a hawk with a kind of strange spin on it. The artist who did the animation (Xavier Palin) really nailed the vision I had and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out."
