Emily Vu has all the makings of a Gen Z pop star. She sings, she plays multiple instruments, she has a huge following on social media, and most importantly, she's authentic. The Los Angeles based singer's brand of pop perfectly matches her laid back SoCal aesthetic. Vu has only been releasing music since 2019 but has been learning how to make music since she was four. Music is embedded in her and as she grew up, her life experiences turned into relatable lyrics which is what has helped fans connect with her.
Today, Vu is back with a brand new single. "Just Wait" is a collaboration with multi-platinum producer Sir Nolan. On the song, Vu recognizes her hesitance to be hurt again in a relationship but can't resist the possibility of being happy so she pleads for some more time to get her feelings together. Speaking on the song, Vu adds,
"It's about being aware of how susceptible I am to love and how being in love or just starting to get to know someone is a very vulnerable thing for me. I'm asking for them to wait for me and just trust the process.“
Emily Vu is a genuine voice in a generation that craves relatability and authenticity. It will be exciting to watch what happens next for Emily Vu. Watch the premiere of the "Just Wait" video below.
