In light of the news of two sold-out headlining shows in Los Angeles and New York, we had the chance to catch up with the one and only FINNEAS to ask him a question or six. We delved into everything from what Harry Potter house he would be sorted into, his sister’s odd obsession, and we cracked the case on whether or not he wrote Rebecca Black’s “Friday.”
Rising artist FINNEAS is difficult to put in a box. A talented musician in his own right, he is also one of the music’s most promising young producers and writers. The 21-year-old, who can seemingly do it all, is somehow finding the time to write and produce his sister and Billie EIlish’s forthcoming debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO, all while penning his own stirring, emotionally rich music.
Over the course of a handful of singles, from the heart-piercing “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night” to the pulsating “I’m in Love With You,” FINNEAS has undoubtedly proven himself as one to watch. And with an actively growing, cult-like fanbase, it seems like it is only a matter of time before the rest of the world catches on–well, if they haven’t already caught on that is. The swooning songwriter quickly sold out his first ever headlining shows in New York and Los Angeles shortly after announcing the pair. 2019 belongs to FINNEAS.
