Lomboy Meets Her Match in "Like Me" Visual [PREMIERE]

If you're looking for something super unique to vibe out to this week, look no further. Lomboy's got you covered. Citizen of the world Tanja Frinta's band, Lomboy, just released a video for their atmospheric space-wave single called "Like Me" out on Kitsune. It's sort of whimsical and sort of spooky. Xylophonic synths provide guidance like following lights through a hazy smoky room. The cultured wayfarer, Frinta, manages to make the song sound as if it travels between both dimension and time. Now we've got an edgy video to match.

The video snapshots multiple moments at the beginning of a new friendship. Known for her soft and slightly synthetic voice, Frinta sings of a man who looks just like her and in the visual, we see it. Throughout "Like Me," Frinta goes on to describe even more uncanny similarities between the two and before long, a friendship unlike any other blossoms. Of the song's origin, Frinta said,

"I’ve been living in Tokyo for over a course of several months in one summer. During my last week, I met a man who was wearing a blue shirt with white dots just like mine, that we both had bought in the same neighbourhood called Shimokitazawa, that also happened to be our favourite area in Tokyo."

The visual for "Like Me" is a definitive ode the multiple cultures Frinta has immersed herself in: French & Japanese. Click below to get lost in its futuristic-pop vibe.
