Sasha Sloan Attends a Motionless Party in  "at least  i look cool" Video

Today, critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Sasha Sloan  took to YouTube to drop a dark yet playful visual for her recent single "at least i look cool."  But wait, there's more. The  rising pop starlet  has announced that she is hitting the road for her North American "let's get sad"  headline tour.

In the new music video, which was released in  celebration of her tour announcement,  Sloan appears in a series of tableaus. These tell the story of a super lame night at a super lame party that she attends for the simple reason of looking cool. Rather than faking it, the song and video see Sloan wearing her insecurities on her sleeve, sitting in a car with its hazards on while she openly admits, "I drive a car that doesn’t work/  I shop at Target for my shirts." Later, she  dismisses the fact that no one at the party knows her name, and opts to take photos by herself instead of trying to socialize.

In the tableaus, Sloan sits at a table surrounded by motionless party-goers whose eyes are all glued to their phones. As the storyline progresses, she finds herself passed out on the tennis court or sitting alone in a kiddie pool. The analog-style of the music video and the dark blue, red, and purple lighting fit Sloan's moody pop sound perfectly. The result is a sarcastic storyline that makes you feel better about never knowing anyone at parties and taking mirror selfies alone in the bathroom.
