The expansive personal project of Jonathon 'Jono' Nott is enveloped into the name ONONO. Centralised around the front-man Jono, the Wellington-based multi-instrumentalist creates music to feed the soul, describing the sound as cinematic and escapist-pop. Jumping from band to band, Jono is no stranger to the live music scene - playing for acts such as Hans Pucket and internationally-renowned duo the BROODS. ONONO brings his friends along the ride, inviting three other members into the world he's created to support his vision and sound.From his 2016 debut album 'Bad Posture', ONONO has flashed songs heavily based on the instrumentation with singular lyrics catchy enough to leave an impression. His most recent release in 2021 is a self-titled album, including tracks like 'The Island' and 'Charms', boasting with woozy tones, smashing drums and intoxicating synths - a perfect fit into a movie soundtrack.
