In all capitals for a reason, DEVAURA is a name that demands attention. With an already stacked discography of energetic, infectious dance tracks and soothing, introspective melodies, her voice, artistry, and creative direction set her apart. 

Born in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and now based in Eora (Sydney), DEVAURA's commitment to her vision and creative process is second to none. Rapidly emerging as a powerful force in the Australian music scene, she was named to triple j Unearthed's Forecast 2026 list. Playful, dynamic, and colourful, she captivates audiences through her bold storytelling and magnetic stage presence. 

Since making her debut in 2023 on the collaborative track KETAMINE, DEVAURA has continued to build an impressive catalogue. She has featured on songs including "Show Up, Show Out" with Mazbou Q and "In The Mood" with Anna Lunoe and Mincy, while also releasing her own acclaimed EP projects: Vol. 1 Learning in Public and Vol. 2 If You Don't Laugh, You'll Cry. 

DEVAURA channels vulnerability and imagination into engaging accounts of self-discovery. As a queer, first-generation immigrant who has experienced homelessness, her resilience forms a key component of artistic identity. She shares:

“Music became my therapy, like I got disowned at sixteen and I’ve been homeless and so, I never really had like a really solid foundation of understanding who I was outside of hurt and trauma”.

Her music is theatrical and unpredictable, and explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Despite being deeply personal, her work feels both intimate and relatable. She continues:

“Music was like this third space almost, for me to be able to figure out how I viewed myself, and all the things that I’ve been through, and then it just so happens that all these people want to listen to it, and connect with it so now I feel like a responsibility to make sure that i do it well, and to the best of my ability”.

HOME is a quietly profound and sincere reflection on her experience of homelessness as a teenager. The track plays like a conversation with oneself, reminding the listener to return to themselves in the face of pain and trauma. Featuring delicate vocals and a rhythmic, infectious beat, it feels like a late-night drive to gather your thoughts, or a reason to dance through your tears. 

Over the past year, DEVAURA has performed on festival stages including Strawberry Fields, St Kilda Festival, SXSW, and Golden Plains, appeared in the iconic triple j Like A Version studio, and headlined shows across Australia on her If You Don't Laugh, You'll Cry tour. 

DANCE HEAD is addictive and alluring in a way that feels effortless. An innovative, semi-chaotic exploration of consumerism, the track is fierce, bold, and unapologetically fun.
