"I Like" Proves ROE Is Ready for the Spotlight [Premiere]

ROE is ready.  The multi-faceted singer and songwriter has been making music behind the scenes for a while but now she's ready for the spotlight.  A Venice, California native, she's been singing and performing since the age of 5 and signed her first record deal at the age of 15. Her talent as a demo singer and writer led her to pen hits alongside the likes of Usher, Mary J. Blige, Kiana Ledé, and Teyana Taylor. During her time as a writer, she was able to work with a lot of different people and learn while she was discovering her own musical identity.

Working on her debut EP, due out this fall, ROE blends her magnetic melodies with the evocative nostalgia of classic R&B. Her first single from the EP is a re-imagining the 90s R&B hit "Kissing Game" from Hi Five. ROE's "I Like" adds modern production and her swaggy sensuality to the classic. Speaking on the origins of "I Like", ROE says,

"We need to flirt and love more than ever now." "Kissing Game" found me in the studio that night. I hadn't heard it in years prior to the night I wrote this song. That's the power and magic of timeless music, I guess. It floats around forever to live over and over again.“

We're happy to present the exclusive premiere of ROE's new single, "I Like." Stream it below:
