KALI's Indie Funk Keeps Bringing Us "Back to the Start"

Sometimes your love won't let go. That's the story of KALI's debut single "Back to the Start." Singing "You led me on / To think things were real / Then I moved on / And now I’m back here," KALI narrates a scenario intrinsic to teenage love. The 16-year-old Los Angeles native is not only a singer but a multi-instrumentalist skilled on the piano, guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and violin.

"Back to the Start" is her first solo offering and serves as a preview of her take on the Indie genre. If she's serving relatable relationship chagrin over rolling funky bass-lines, we'll have two. The accompanying music video shows KALI gallivanting around town with her friends, potentially looking to blow off some steam from the aforementioned relationship troubles.

This is a promising first release from KALI and we're excited to hear more from her. Watch the video for "Back to the Start" below.
