Long Live The ‘Freaks:’ Haute & Freddy Gear Up For Their First-Ever Headline Tour

If Haute & Freddy started a cult, I’d be in it.

Eccentric alt-pop duo Haute & Freddy write certified hits that have appealed to millions yet still feel indie enough to make you feel like you’re in on a secret. It is rare to see a band that is so sure of themselves that they never miss a beat; whose daring vision is executed with such innovative flair. Their one of a kind fashion is at once designer, pop, and sexy, and their catalogue is like a fun-house of mirrors imploring the wild creative in all of us to just be free.

“Go and keep it locked inside thе walls / For the werewolvеs only to behold / But I wanna be with you when you let it show.”

Haute & Freddy’s haunting fourth single ‘Freaks’ is a seductive incantation for midnight abandon. Released on Friday, the song is best enjoyed with its radiantly macabre music video that brings a royal carnival to your neighborhood bar. Haute and Freddy’s bewitching performance is matched by an atmosphere and cinematography that reawakens Rocky Horror Picture Show in the 21st century.

“‘Freaks’ came to life during a writing trip in Topanga with our favorite wizard, Askjell,” say Haute & Freddy. “A very determined peacock spent the day screaming for companionship outside our makeshift living room studio. We’d just rewatched Rocky Horror, and between Riff Raff’s bizarre sex appeal and the bird’s relentless mating calls, it truly felt like the only song we could write. The orange wine was flowing, we hit record – and ‘Freaks’ was born.”

Like the peacock, Haute & Freddy bring a tenacious, iridescent elegance to all that they do. Their first ever North American headline tour (this fall) is nearly sold out. “Haute & Freddy’s Tiny Grand Tour” features dates across the U.S., including NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (October 24) and L.A.’s Troubadour (October 28).

“All the pretty girls and all the pretty boys / They get dressed up and go out dancing /All the pretty girls and all the pretty boys are freaks...”

Consider this your not-so-formal invitation to their Royal Court, where the only law is to dazzle louder and stranger than the rest.
