Sad-Pop Trio La Bouquet Overcomes "Pure Heartbreak" in Lovesick Single [PREMIERE]

Los Angeles - based sad-pop trio La Bouquet graces us with "Pure Heartbreak," the final single arriving before their debut album  Sad People Dancing,  set to release April 26. "Pure Heartbreak" follows the band's 2019 singles "Bad News!," "1990," and "Sad People Dancing."  Tying together the sonic laces of '80s new wave and lovelorn pop, "Pure Heartbreak" is an amalgam of a melancholy soundscape and indie-rock accents.

Consisting of Bryan Sammis (formerly of The Neighbourhood), Jake Lopez, and Drew Bruchs, La Bouquet has only released one EP so far, but they are more than ready to blow you away with their innovative sound. They tap into the territories of bedroom-R&B, post-punk, and texturized alt-pop to produce an arresting formula of a pitch-perfect resonance. Habitually wearing their emotions inside and out, La Bouquet designs a plush sonic world to relish within. As feelings run wild, so will starry-eyed moments for listeners at hand.

On "Pure Heartbreak," frontman Bryan Sammis exclusively shared with Ones To Watch,

"'Pure Heartbreak' is a song that perfectly encapsulates our band. Sonically, lyrically, melodically - it has every flavor of La Bouquet one might come to expect. This song is about the ultimate loss, pain, and suffering that we have all felt at one time or another. Being able to write about it, sing about it, cry about it, dance about it has been the perfect catharsis. I hope this reigns true for you as well. Enjoy!"
