King Princess'  latest track "Prophet" is finally out and it has us in an even deeper obsession with the eclectic Brooklyn-based pop artist. This is the second single off of her highly anticipated debut album, which will be released later this year from Zelig Records - King Princess' friend and recent collaborator Mark Ronson's label.

"Prophet" is a satisfyingly smooth pop-funk song with an infectious eerie mood. With velvety layered vocals over cash-register clicks, a stand-out bass, and hypnotizing guitar riffs; King Princess has released a dynamic, addicting track that stands out on her discography.

She's infatuated with a person who's under the limelight, wrapped up in the thought of them, along with everyone else. "Oh, no apologies, twisting your words and your prophecies/ Oh oh, and honestly, it’s the price of the prodigy wannabe..." When you're in the spotlight, you'll find that some will grow obsessed with the thought of knowing you, putting you on a pedestal and viewing you as more of a divine being. This song highlights this obsessive behavior. King Princess knew exactly what she was doing with this track.

"'Cause I can only think about you
And what it’s like to walk around you
And why they like to talk about you
‘Cause I can only think about you
'Cause I can only think about you
And what it’s like to walk around you
And why they like to talk about you
'Cause I can only think about you"

You can listen to what King Princess has confessed as one of her favorite tracks she's ever created below:

The queer icon is set to hit the festival circuit, along with a headlining Cheap Queen Tour, around North America and Europe later this summer and fall.
