As we get ready to spring forward this Sunday with Daylight Savings, we are looking forward to a new season and all that it brings. Although losing an hour is not ideal, we cannot help but feel relief knowing we will be one hour closer to the forthcoming sophomore album from Los Angeles-based flor. To tease this upcoming record, comes the infectious new single, "slow motion," a follow up to "get behind this."

Composed of Zach Grace (vocals, guitarist), Dylan Bauld (bass), McKinley Kitts (guitar), and Kyle Hill (drums), the Oregon-native band is known their intoxicating instrumental skills and Grace's airy and groovy vocals. Cinematic and mid-tempo, "slow motion" is not only the perfect song to play on a sunny day, driving up the coast but also the perfect song to wind down to after a long night.

No doubt, the single is addicting. But what makes it even more exhilarating to listen to are the well-written lyrics and how brilliantly they paint a story. Grace crooning, "I swear you move slow motion/ watching you looks like bending time/ catch me in your illusion/ helping me lose my mind," is an ode to love, and gives us a sweet feeling to latch onto.  Poetic yet simple, the lyrics illustrate the feeling of being so deeply intertwined in someone's pull.
